In Melbourne, on Thursday November 19th and the morning of Friday 20th we’re bring together leaders, thinker and artists to immerse in ideas worth exploring and non-artificial conversation.

We’ve worked with thousands of leaders this year and shaped the Carnival in response to the hope, worry, optimism and conviction that has surfaced in 2026. We have entered a paradigm shift and the time calls for bringing our community together in a room of brilliant thinkers, leaders, artists and incendiary questions.

Some people who will lead the day:
The exceptional writer and pianist Anna Goldsworthy will anchor conversations on AI as she asks what, beyond the fever of optimism and alarm, will remain irreducibly human. Expanding on her Quarterly essay ‘The God we Made’ she will ask us what does this mean for our artists, children and future?

Kirk Docker, interviewer and co-creator behind You Can’t Ask That, will do what he does brilliantly: ask revelatory questions and draw out the wisdom, experiences and stories of the people in the room. There will be more. But we do like to keep some surprises for you.

On the Friday morning, we’ll walk together. Rain, hail or shine, we’ll ask: what has stuck? What do we see differently? And what will we actually do when we re-enter our places of work and contribution?

This year, we’re asking for a contribution towards the cost of bringing the Carnival to life.  We offer a reduced rate if you would like to bring an emerging leader as a plus one. We’d love to support you to bring someone: an emerging or younger leader you know and believe in. We’re offering a reduced rate for their ticket.
